  • 8 times World Squash Champion: 3 Men’s World Championship titles, 2 World Championship Junior titles and 3 World Championship Team titles.
  •  Known worldwide by his nickname “The Artist”, Ramy is long hailed as the most innovative, technically gifted, intriguing and fascinating player in the squash world.
  • Only active player to have won 3 Men’s World Championship titles.
  • Youngest player ever to win the Men’s World Junior Squash Championship. This was Ramy’s first major international title, won the age of 16 in Greece.
  •  First player in history to win the World Junior Championships for a second time in July 2006.
  •  Took World No.1 title in January 2010, at 22 years old, becoming the youngest player to do so for 26 years after winning PSA Masters and Saudi International.
  •  Became World No.1 for the second time in January 2013 when Ramy was famously unbeaten in 49 consecutive matches in a Tour that lasted 15 months.
  •  First Egyptian in 47 years to win the British Open (May 2013), following in AA AbouTaleb’s legendary footsteps (1966).
  •  Top 10 in the World for the last 11 years consecutively in the PSA Annual World Rankings: Top 10 for 11 years (2007 – 2017), Top 5 for nine years (2007 – 2015) and Top 3 for five years (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013) and World No.1 for two years (2010, 2013).
  • Named Olympic Squash Ambassador by the World Squash Federation in 2015 and 2018 – currently bidding for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
  • Founder of The Ramy Ashour Squash Academy in Cairo, Egypt – dedicated to providing world class squash programs for juniors. Ramy began playing squash at just 6 years old.
